Update - Half Load Season
At the Township of Zorra Council meeting on April 3, 2012, it was decided to do a one-time event of lifting the Half Load Season effective immediately.  This is strictly a one-time happening and is largely based on recent weather conditions.  The resolution states:  “THAT the provisions of By-law 21-03 shall not be in force from April 3, 2012 through April 30, 2012, and half load season will not be enforced on Zorra roads.”

At a regular meeting on March 6, 2012, the Council of the Township of Zorra passed the following resolution:

“THAT Council adopt the Township of Zorra Work and Road Use Permit as attached to Memorandum 2012-048 from the Director of Public Works.”

The fee for a Work and Road Use Permit is $100.00.  Click here to review the form and conditions.
A reminder for residents that the Township of Zorra Council enacted By-law 21-01, to authorize the following:

“Following the removal of any trees by municipal or contracted workers, adjacent landowners shall have the option to determine if a replacement tree is required. Should the property owner request a replacement tree, the Township shall deliver a tree (species of tree set out in Schedule “A” of the by-law) for the owner to plant and maintain.”
