Newcomer Champion Awards
The Newcomer Champion Awards recognize individuals and groups who have made a difference in their community and province through active citizenship and engagement. Newcomers are not the only ones eligible for this award. Award recipients are champions of voluntarism, supporters of newcomers, and advocates of greater social and civic inclusion.

Lincoln M. Alexander Award 2012
Every year since 1993, the Government of Ontario has presented the Lincoln M. Alexander Award to honour young Ontarians who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in contributing to the elimination of racial discrimination. Please take this opportunity to acknowledge a young person from your school or community who has made an important contribution to eliminating racial discrimination in Ontario.

2012 Ontario Francophonie Awards
Three distinct awards will be presented during a special Government of Ontario ceremony to be held on Franco-Ontarian Day, September 25, 2012. Ontario will recognize a Francophone, a Francophile and a young Francophone or Francophile under the age of 25 who, through their hard work, conviction and determination, have played a key role in fostering a stronger and more vibrant Francophone community in the province. Please note that the term "Francophile" designates any person who, while not Francophone, embraces linguistic duality and promotes French language and culture.
