Aggregate Policy Review - Public Open House and Survey

The Township of Zorra and the County of Oxford have initiated a review of policies and provisions related to Aggregate Extraction (Sand and Gravel Pits and Quarries).  As part of this review, a Public Open House was held on April 14, 2015. View the Open House Notice.  The presentation made at the Open House is available for viewing here.

Interim Control By-law/Aggregate Review

At the January 13, 2015 meeting of the Council of the Township of Zorra, By-law 05-15 was passed "being a by-law to establish interim control provisions for the Township of Zorra to prohibit new or expanded mineral aggregate operations and new concrete and asphalt recycling plants for a period of one year in order to permit the completion of a Planning Review of the related existing Official Plan Policies and Zoning Provisions.  Read the entire by-law here.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has adopted an Interim Control By-law 2015-05, under Zoning By-law 35-99, as amended, on the 13th day of January, 2015, in accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Planning Act, 1990., c. TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra passed By-law 2015-66 on the 15th day of December, 2015, to extend the period of time during which Interim Control By-law 2015-05, is in effect in accordance with the provisions of Section 38(2) of the Planning Act, 1990., c.
