No Standing

Thamesford residents may have noticed signs on the north side of McCarty Street by Thamesford Public School. This section of McCarty Street has been designated as No Standing at any time. No Standing is defined as: “stand” or “standing”, when prohibited , means the halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except for the purpose of and while actually engaged in receiving or discharging passengers.

Parking restrictions remain in effect on the south side of McCarty Street during the school year only as follows: no parking/no stopping on the south side of McCarty Street from Allen Street to George Street from September 1 to June 30 of each year between the hours of 8:30 am and 9:00 am and between the hours of 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Draft Election Sign By-law

The Township’s Notice By-law states that the Township must provide public notice of its intention to amend or pass a by-law regarding advertising devices - At the April 17, 2018 Meeting Township Council will consider amendments to the Election Sign By-law. Please provide any comments to the Director of Corporate Services by April 11 at 4:30p.m. by email or 519-485-2490.
