This newly renovated (2010) facility includes an arena with an 85’ x 185’ ice/floor surface with seating to accommodate 600 people.  The arena is available for public rentals and is an ideal location for special events.

This facility also offers a Community Hall that is available for rental to the public year-round and is an ideal location for wedding receptions, dances and other special events. The hall includes a completely serviceable bar and kitchen, is air-conditioned and a portable stage is available on site.  Hall capacity details.

Thamesford District Recreation Centre

This facility includes an arena with an 85’ x 185’ ice/floor surface with seating to accommodate 350 people. Ice time and floor time are available for public rental.  The Community Hall in the Community Centre is also available for public rental and special events.  The Hall is fully functional, air conditioned, and includes an auditorium with a stage.  The Kitchen is fully equipped with all required table setting pieces, as well as a bar.  The Hall is also equipped with enough tables and chairs to accommodate up to 225 people for a sit down dinner and up to 300 people when a sit down meal is not required.  Hall Capacity details.

The Community Centre also has a Board Room which is ideal for small meetings.  This room is offered at a reasonable cost to profitable organizations and is available free of charge to registered non-profit agencies.

Community Halls

Beaty Room

Named after the late Harvey Beaty, a prominent local businessman, this room is attached to the newly constructioned Thamesford Library and Resource Centre that is owned in conjunction with the County of Oxford.  It is located at 165 Dundas Street in Thamesford.

The Beaty Room offers public rentals for events such as wedding showers, funeral luncheons, business meetings and seminars.  The hall is state of the art with a commercial kitchen and dishwasher system along with computer accessibility for presentations.  This facility can accommodate up to 90 people.

Embro Town Hall

This facility is a very unique heritage building in the heart of the village of Embro.  Once a municipal office and home of the local jailhouse, this building has been well maintained to accommodate a local theatre, a branch library and highland dance classes.  There is a smaller meeting room with a kitchenette for meetings and a stage and theatre setting is located on the upper floor.  The Embro Town Hall is located at 135 Huron Street in Embro.

The hall is air conditioned and the local theatre group also offers sound and lighting rentals for groups looking for use of this equipment.

Harrington Hall

Once the home of the Broadview United Church, this heritage building is maintained by the Township to facilitate a branch of the Oxford County Library system.  This facility is located in the heart of the village of Harrington and is situated next to a scenic pond owned and operated by the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.   The Harrington Hall is located at 539 Victoria Street, Harrington.

This facility can also be rented out for smaller gatherings and can accommodate up to 90 people in the hall area, located on the upper floor of the building.
