Zorra Township is a rural municipality located at the north-west corner of Oxford County.  The Township is comprised of several rural clusters and two serviced villages.  The population of Zorra Township is 8,058, with a total land area of 529 square kilometres.

Public Meeting - Surplus Municipal Lands

The County of Oxford is considering a by-law for adoption at County Council on July 13, 2016 proposing to deem lands to be surplus.  Lands located at 102 Dundas Street at Hwy 119.  Click here for more information.

Zorra's 2016 Senior of the Year!

Congratulations to Anne Hollis, our 2016 Senior of the Year!  Anne has volunteered with Knox United Church in Embro, the Seniors Centre in Ingersoll, Camp Tanner Kitchen, and reading with children at AJ Baker Public School.  There are many children in the area who read their first sentence with Mrs. Hollis.  Thanks for all you do!

Thamesford Pool Season

The pool schedule and registration forms are now available for the 2016 pool season.  New this season - evening swimming lessons! Registration begins on May 30th at the arena and at the pool after June 20th.

Water Conservation Program Now in Effect

County By-law No. 4193-2002 applies to all water systems owned by Oxford County and regulates the external use of water from May 1st to September 30th. View County notice here.

Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship

Looking for nominations for the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship.  This award honours Ontarians who have made outstanding contributions to community life.  Deadline for nominations is July 17th.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has adopted an Interim Control By-law 2015-05, under Zoning By-law 35-99, as amended, on the 13th day of January, 2015, in accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Planning Act, 1990., c. P. 13, as amended.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has passed By-law 2015-66 on the 15th day of December, 2015, to extend the period of time during which Interim Control By-law 2015-05, is in effect in accordance with the provisions of Section 38(2) of the Planning Act, 1990., c.
