Thanks to all of our local volunteers who came out to Embro this morning to celebrate volunteerism in Zorra Township. A delicious breakfast catered by Eat Your Heart Out Catering was enjoyed by many local volunteers. Beautiful mums were purchased at TSC Embro and apples from Turner's Farm Market were provided to our volunteers. Gorgeous signage provided by 31st Line Strategic Communications. #ShopLocal. Thanks to Mayor Lupton and Councillors Keasey, Ryan, and Matheson for serving the food. What a great morning in @ZorraTwp!

41st Line – Gas Pipeline Environmental Assessment
Union Gas has advised the Township they will be commencing an Environmental Assessment (EA) to study twinning an existing 8” natural gas pipeline running from Road 88 to the Perth Oxford Road. Phase 1 of this project will see installation of 10.6 km of a 12” steel pipeline within the 41st Line road allowance from Road 88 to the Perth Oxford Road. To view a map of the subject area click here.
The EA will be carried out by AECOM and will determine an available pipeline alignment and any potential environmental concerns with respect to the preferred alternative. It can be anticipated that 41st Line will be disrupted and potentially closed to non-local traffic during construction in summer 2016. Further details will be made available later this summer. If you have any questions, please contact Don MacLeod, CAO, Township of Zorra at 519-485-2490 ext. 226.
