Zorra Township is a rural municipality located at the north-west corner of Oxford County.  The Township is comprised of several rural clusters and two serviced villages.  The population of Zorra Township is 8,058, with a total land area of 529 square kilometres.

Second Annual VOLUNTEER BREAKFAST!

Calling anyone who volunteers (past or present) within the Township of Zorra!  Please come out and celebrate volunteerism with a free breakfast on Friday, October 21st from 8am-10am at the Thamesford District Recreation Centre hall.  This event is for ANYONE who volunteers in Zorra - local fairs, Calithumpian, Highland Games,dinner theatre, local theatre, local sports clubs, 4H, Guides, Scouts, driving seniors to appointments, community or church events, schools, canvassing for charities - and so many more ways you make our communities better!  Can't stay - no problem - this year we are offering a take-out option for those volunteers who are on the run.  Please plan to attend - and RSVP by October 7th by email or call the office 519-485-2490 x 221. Thank you Volunteers!!

Zorra Community Policing Committee Vacancy

The mandate of the Zorra Community Policing Committee is to advise on all aspects of the provision of police related matters in the Township of Zorra and to promote and maintain communication with the public. The ZCPC has an opening for one (1) new member to sit on this committee.  Meetings are held four times per year.  If you would like to submit your name for consideration, please contact the office at 519-485-2490.

Water Conservation Program Now in Effect

County By-law No. 4193-2002 applies to all water systems owned by Oxford County and regulates the external use of water from May 1st to September 30th. View County notice here.

Notice of Passing of an Interim Control By-law

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has adopted an Interim Control By-law 2015-05, under Zoning By-law 35-99, as amended, on the 13th day of January, 2015, in accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Planning Act, 1990., c. P. 13, as amended.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has passed By-law 2015-66 on the 15th day of December, 2015, to extend the period of time during which Interim Control By-law 2015-05, is in effect in accordance with the provisions of Section 38(2) of the Planning Act, 1990., c.
