New Chain of Office
The Township’s first Chain of Office was presented to Mayor Margaret Lupton on April 21, 2009. In front of a full Council Chamber Mayor Lupton accepted the Chain of Office and thanked Council, staff, former Mayors and members of the public for all that has been done to make Zorra Township such a wonderful place to live. Attending the ceremony were five of Zorra's past Mayors and they are pictured above. Former Mayor James Muterer was unable to attend.
The new Chain of Office incorporates the Township’s official crest, Coats of Arms of all the Provinces and the Coat of Arms of Canada. The Chain of Office also has bars engraved with the name of each former Mayor. They are as follows:

Embro Park Master Plan and Design Study
As you may be aware development is planned for Embro over the next several years. This could introduce approximately 225 new homes to the village. Through the development process the Township can request that 5% of the land be donated for recreational purposes. The new parkland could be stand alone or added to the Embro Community Centre grounds.
In order to provide facilities for this new parkland that best accommodate existing and anticipated needs, the Township is seeking your input through a questionnaire. This will help identify needs for new facilities and activities, and use this information to prepare a master plan that will guide the future development of park and/or recreational facilities for the village.
As the first step to this process, we request your input. This will allow us to find out how you are utilizing the existing parks and outdoor facilities, identify opportunities, and determine realistic goals for future use. Please
