Zorra Township is a rural municipality located at the north-west corner of Oxford County.  The Township is comprised of several rural clusters and two serviced villages.  The population of Zorra Township is 8,058, with a total land area of 529 square kilometres.

Babysitter Course - March Break

Zorra Fire & Emergency Services is hosting a Babysitter course on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 9am to 4pm at the Embro Arena. Open to ages 11-14.  Cost $15.00 per person - includes book, card, and lunch.  Call 519-614-0701 to register.  Space is limited.

Changes to Garbage/Recycling Collection

Starting on September 14, 2015, garbage and recycling will be collected together once a week.  Details available on the Oxford County website.

Notice of Passing of an Interim Control By-law

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra has adopted an Interim Control By-law 2015-05, under Zoning By-law 35-99, as amended, on the 13th day of January, 2015, in accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Planning Act, 1990., c. Recreation Department - Seeking Public Input

New steps towards a smoke-free Ontario

Starting January 1, 2015, it will be illegal to:
• smoke on bar and restaurant patios
• sell tobacco on college and university campuses
• smoke near children’s playgrounds and public sports fields and surfaces.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter parking restrictions are now in effect.  No parking on any street from 1am to 8am.  Set fine is $50.00.
