Zorra Township is a rural municipality located at the north-west corner of Oxford County.  The Township is comprised of several rural clusters and two serviced villages.  The population of Zorra Township is 8,138, with a total land area of 529 square kilometres.

Open Air Burn Permit Process

The Township has introduced a Permanent Fire Permit process for open air burning.  This process involves a one-time application which will reduce the effort required to set up permission for an open air burn.  All applications will be reviewed by the Fire Chief and upon approval, the applicant will be able to proceed with open air burns by calling into dispatch directly to report the burn details.  Review application form and conditions for the new permit, then complete your application!  Please note - the process for small recreation burns within a ring or fire pit in backyard has not changed - these types of fires do not require a permit.

Art/Vendors on Display at Township Office

The Township of Zorra is pleased to support local vendors and artists. We are currently displaying pottery from A Pair of Potters, Kintore Coffee, Kintore Custom Hardwoods, Harrington 2018 Calendars, and a beautiful wall clock made for us by Russnor Designs. Drop by anytime! Contact us if you would like to display your items at our office.
